Is this Constipation? - Bowel Disorders Message Board

hey everyone-

im 20 y.o. and a few days ago i noticed that i started to feel like i had to urinate a little more often. then yesterday i woke up and had a little bit of pain in my groin, nothing serious, and no pain or burning while urinating. then today i woke up and felt like there was something stuck in my anus. it doesnt hurt at all and i was able to have a slight b.m. this afternoon, though it was smaller and thinner in size.

i guess my question is, does this sound like constipation, and can constipation cause other issues that may be urine related. i dont think the urination issues were anything serious like a prostate or bladder since i didnt have any pain or something that would hurt along with it. i was just concerned something may be blocking my rectum but im not sure if it just may be constipation. ive never really felt constipated before so i dont know what it feels like. i dont have really any noticeable hemorroids or anything else or any kind of bleeding, just discomfort. the discomfort seems to be less if i spread my legs apart more.

any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Constipation is when you go without a BM for 3 days or more.

Constipation can cause all sorts of problems. Because you retain toxins and unwanted antigens in your intestines that needs to be expelled from your body.

It also can be the major reason for hemorrhoids and diverticular problems.

It seems like we are experiencing some similar symptoms. I too have been having slight pain and difficulty urinating and my stool has been thinner and coming in less amounts. This problem seems to have been going on for at least 3 months now and my doctor has not been able to diagnose me with anything. I've also been having the side effect of decreased sexual sensation, (that is, I'm feeling maybe 50-70% less pleasure during sex and masturbation) as well as a sharp pain and "stuckness" while ejaculating (when the orgasm starts, it feels as though the ejaculate is backing up, which causes pain, until about halfway through when a bunch shoots out.).
