hi everyone,

I'm new to this particular board and need help with an embarrassing problem. For the past several weeks, I've had a strange "bump" near the anus. At one point, it reminded me of a pimple, with a white head. But now it looks more like a piece of extra skin. Usually is red, and I have noticed scant amts of bright red blood on the tp only after a bm (but not every time). Also, bms are a little painful. So I'm thinking maybe a skin tag? But do skin tags bleed? I don't think it's a hemmorhoid, (nothing protruding from the anus itself...) I haven't been constipated recently, although not going as reg. as usual since I'm off my diet now and quit eating all the high fiber stuff (I have now started back). I will see my MD if it doesn't get better in a few more weeks, but anybody have any ideas in the meantime?
