<enema ingredients>

Does anyone know of ingredients to put into an enema with water? I've heard of olive oil (2 TBLS). I've also heard of coffee? What kind? How much?

I haven't been having bowel movements and I know that I shouldn't use enema's on a regular basis because it'll make my bowel dependant on them. I'm not sure on what to do. I feel so full and I hardly eat anything anymore.

Thanks,
Leahlove

Re: <enema ingredients>

Leah,

If you have a regular doc, you should visit & discuss if this is an ongoing concern.

In the meantime, for emergency relief, it's easiest to use a prepared enema that can be purchased at the drug store for a few bucks. One brand is called Fleet; oftentimes there are generic brands as well. The 2 main kinds of enemas are saline & lubricating. A saline enema is hypertonic, drives water into your bowel, which can give some strong urges & cramping. A lubricating enema contains oil or mineral oil, which usually causes less cramping, just makes the passageway slippery to ease evacuation of hard stool.

I recommend trying a disposable prepared enema over a DIY experience, which can be messy & frustrating without special equipment and/or an assistant.

Best wishes.

Cool Re: <enema ingredients>

Leah,
I have done coffee enemas for years with no problem. they really help if you are trying to detox or trying to catch a virus. The "alternatives" say that it helps your liver throw off toxins. Get info off the web. You should not use them more that a few times a week duing a health crisis and then back off for a while. you can get some good info on the web. It is weird at first but it is my time to work on my health. read up.....
