I am not sure if I am posting this in the right place so forgive me if I'm not.

Last Monday morning, I was awakened by a burning feeling right under my breastbone-dead center. It continued all week and when I ate, it got worse. I am usually not regular with bowel movements...maybe a few times a week and my mom suggested that maybe I was backed up. I finally went a bit on Wednesday morning-not a lot and it was dark. Same thing Friday morning. But the pain seemed to move down a bit. So Friday night I bought a laxitive (took 2) and it kicked in around 2am but I didn't go as much as I thought I would have. I felt better yesterday and when I went again later in the day, it was dark again. So I took a laxitive last night and nothing happened. Well-today the pains came back. I went again a bit this afternoon and again it was dark. I took yet another laxitive today-about 5 hours ago- and nothing has happened. I am in mild pain and am getting so scared right now.

I was fighting the flu in the beginning of September but hadn't felt completely right since. Last Friday at work I got so tired and my body ached all over. I still am all achy in my neck and esp. shoulders/upper back and have a headache that comes and goes mostly in my left eye area. I am just so scared because al the reading I have done on dark stool is ulsers,etc. And of course I just started this job so no insurance for me until next month. But I am just so scared and my mom keeps telling me that it's just gotta be gas and a back-up since I did feel relief after the first round of laxitives. I am just so scared you have no idea...I am probably making it worse but I am really afraid that something major is wrong.
