Looking for some answers - Bowel Disorders Message Board

Lately, I have been having trouble making a BM. I do pass BM's, but it doesn't seem like much and Im always having to use force. Also, I seem to have extreme gas. It usually smells pretty bad as well. Its almost like, I have extreme gas and I feel as though I have to go to the bathroom. However, when I try to its either mostly gas or nothing at all. I also get heartburn occasionally. The thing is, Im very athletic. I work out 3-4 days a week. Its really bothering to me, since Im only 22. If anyone can give me some insight it would be great.

Just by your symptoms you are not eating enough fiber in your diet including green veggies with its de-odor properties and you need to drink more fluids-- water daily.
