Question I'm sick and tired of having diarrhea...

I've been having problems for about 2 months now. It started out as constipation then went to extreme diarrhea. I have cramping, bloating, gas, and now vomitting (usually at the same time as my bouts of diarrhea). I've been to several doctors and to the ER several times. They can't seem to figure out what is wrong. All my tests come back normal but my body is not normal. I am in a lot of pain all the time and I'm tired of the whole thing. Does anyone have any ideas what I may have or what I can do next? Please I am at the end of my ropes. I haven't been to work for over a month now because I never know when I will need to go to the restroom and unfortunately do to the type of work I'm in I can't just get up and go whenever I feel I need to. Please I have got to get back to work and I have got to get better. I'm willing to try anything at this point.

Re: I'm sick and tired of having diarrhea...

I'm at my wits end as well! Only, I've been having this problem for 3 years now. I'm not in any pain but, I have diarrhea all the time and even got hemerrhoids because of it. My doc is sending me to a specialist but it's going to be 7 months until I can do so. Unreal. I don't have the energy to do anything anymore. I just took 2 weeks off of work and I have to go back Monday but I fear I'm just gonna keep calling in sick again.

I'm sorry I can't help but I just want to let you know that you're not alone.

See my post, "getting mad at doc" for my whole story.

I have had "Chronic Intractible Explosive Diarrhea" now for about 8 years.
We have done every test that there is and all the scans and scopes, we even went on an all nation internet conference with Doctors world wide. All their suggestions and treatments had been tried to no help.
We finally came up with an old civil war remedy. They used in back then to keep the soldiers able to fight even with Dysentary.
It is Tincture of Opium 10%, the beginning dose is 0.7 cc, it's just a few drops and it works wonderfully. It tastes hidious, but that's okay! I still have diarrhea but not nearly as often or to such a volume load. You might suggest it to your physician, carefully ,some don't think a patient can come up with a good idea. It is extremely expensive but it works for me. Good Luck, PS Charmin Ultra Toilet Paper, 4 squares goes a long way and saves money too!!!

Re: I'm sick and tired of having diarrhea...

I'm sorry but I will not use the tincture that you take. It might work for you but it is extremely addictive. I have done a lot of research on it for my Drugs and Substance abuse class. It used to be called Laudanum in the early days. I try to work full time and go to school full time for Criminal Justice. There is no way I can have something like that in my system and work. I'm glad it works for you but i will try something else. Thanks though.

Da brown,

There are two possibilities you may like to check out. It could either be a copper poisoning in some way or Choleric infection. You may like to try a couple of doses Cuprum Metallicum 30 c or Veratrum Metallicum 30c to counter this. Both of these are mineral / herb based homeopathic remedies which have been used effcetively in vomiting with purging and cramping pains. If you need any more information, do let me know

Re: I'm sick and tired of having diarrhea...

Is it possible to test for copper poisoning or choleric infection? If I do have one of these why isn't my whole family sick? How do you get either of these problems and what exactly are they? I don't know about either one. Please help, at least I have somewhere to start. I live in the US, according to other web sites, the choleric infection isn't likely but what exactly is copper poisoning?

Smile Re: I'm sick and tired of having diarrhea...

I hope your diarrhea gets better , I would imagine you would have a hard time in a job such as that when you are in the ladies room most of the time. Be honest with your employer as not to cause a problem for yourself and the personal your are dealing with in your job. I am on soc. sec. disability as I am unable to work from the bathroom. Disability came before the opium. Seek a specialist at a university hospital. Most teaching hospitals love a good challenge and may come up with a "help" you can live and work with. Good Luck and God Bless
