 Creepy scary bowel movement
I am asking for my brother as he is too afraid to ask.
Earlier in the week, he had a day or two of very loose watery bowel movements and frequent too. Today he went to the toilet and while the movement was still soft, it wasn't watery, here's the hard to describe part.
He passed what appeared to be an air bubble. It was what we would imagine if you blew up a condom, only not huge, maybe golf ball sized. There was no pain associated with passing it but he said he did have a sensation of it moving down thru his lower abdomen as it came through.
There has been no real pain or blood or anything unusual about his bowels, other than the day or so of loose bowels. He feels fine, just has no idea what it could have been.
I am wondering if this could be some pre-indicator of liver problems? He was quite a heavy drinker for many years and is now on meds for anxiety and I think some form of bipolar.
