UC and Referred Pain?

Hi,

Was wondering if anyone here has any experience with Crohn's/Colitis and referred pain?

I've suddenly come down with moderate-severe lower back pain, and while I do some lifting at work, I a.) have a strong, flexible back, and b.) do a lot of yoga to keep it that way. The other reason that I think it may be referred pain is that nothing I have taken in the last few days has eased the pain at all(including muscle relaxants.)

I would not be surprised to find my UC is beginning to flare, as I've had a very emotional new year; in the past 6 weeks, I've had to put my cat of 16 years down, my father died unexpectedly, and my best friend stopped speaking to me (in that order.)

I have an appointment with my GP on Monday, but would appreciate any ideas/suggestions in the meantime.

thanks,

daisyk
