Pain on Right Side, Abdomen Area???

I am going for colonoscopy but just curious if anyone had experienced the pain, which is shooting pains, every now and then, on the right side of my naval. It's more in the abdomen area rather than the tummy. (sometimes, it will pain on the left side but more on right side).

I just responded to Hope about going ahead with the test.

Any comments/opinions welcome,

BlueSky555

Re: Pain on Right Side, Abdomen Area???

My pain is like yours with the exception that I get it up near my right ribcage and then across my stomach too, then off and on..near the left side.

Everyone on the IBS board says its tacking the exact tract of my colon.

When is your colonoscopy scheduled? I think they put mine off way to long, I'm not til the 13th.

Is your pain close to your right hip bone? How long have you been dealing with yours?

Hope

Re: Pain on Right Side, Abdomen Area???

Hi Hope,

Apology for not responding sooner; first time back on the board.

Mine started a few months ago. It does hurt on the right side, at my hip bone and also on the right side of my naval. Sometimes on the left but not often.

I'm afraid I have put mine off too long as well. Hopefully, we haven't. I haven't scheduled yet but called the office this morning and asked how long would it be before I was scheduled and the girl said 3 or 4 weeks. Gee, I'm going Friday to set it up; didn't know it would take that long.

Since I haven't scheduled yet, yours will most likely be first. I've heard that there is no pain, only some discomfort but they put you out. I was happy to hear that.

Good luck to you, Hope, and I'll check back on the board, hoping to hear good news from you.

Re: Pain on Right Side, Abdomen Area???

Well I went to the ER and Dr, so I don't think I waited to long. And if your getting a colonoscopy that means you have seen your Dr, so you haven't waited to long. We are at least doing something

Hope
