Urination while asleep - Bowel Disorders Message Board

Hi. I am 30 years old and am epileptic and have been since I was 14. This probably has nothing to do with it but recently I have woke up in the middle of the night either right b4 urination or have done it already and woke up feeling wet and thats what made me wake up. Can anyone shed some light on this???

Hi,

I would have a urinalysis test run at your dr. Sometimes that can occur with a UTI or yeast infection. If you are really tired, and dream about having to go to the bathroom, but are to tired to get up, it can also happen. You may be thinking you have gotten up, and are in the bathroom, but your not. also, could you have had a seizure and not realized it, and urinated during it or after?

Thank you so much!!! That helps a lot because I have been recently treating a yeast infection and since then, it has not happened. I am not prone to having seizures in my sleep and if I did, my husband would be awakened to it so I know it wouldn't have been that. Thanx so much for your help!
