pain and blood - Bowel Disorders Message Board

Hi i'll try to keep this short. I'm 26 years old and I eat a well balanced diet and I exersize as well. The thing that is bothering me is that I have been having painful bowel movements within the past month or 2. It also started out with just blood on the outside of my stool but now their is blood in the toilet and a lot on the toilet when I wipe. But there is none on my underwear it's only when I have a bowl movement. I also have abdominal pain. I have also been passing gas a lot too. I'm just confused and scared. There is not a history of colon or rectal cancer in my family that I know of so I don't know what it is. I don't know if hemorrhoids would cause that much blood or pain during a bowel movement. Someone please help!

hi how are u, i have the same problem but it has been coming and going for the past like 3 years, I have never bothered to ask my doctor, i guess cuz im scared to hear the worst, but I i will ask tomorrow when i visit him.

Go and see your doc straightaway. I posted the question re red diarrhoea, it wasn,t something I ate it was pure blood. I,ve has 2 polyps removed, got a third too large to touch,has to be removed by specialist surgeon,got to have 7 inches of colon removed as full of holes and abcesses. Major surgery ahead of me within the next month. Scan tomorrow to find out if it,s colon cancer.
Please go and have it checked.
