Mild Colitis & Fleet Enemas

I had been diagnosed with a mild case of Colitis about 18 months ago. I haven't had any major problems so far. Is it ok to have a Fleet Enema with this condition?

Any input wouold be greatly appreciated.

Re: Mild Colitis & Fleet Enemas

fleet enemas are fine but try to use them every 2 to third day ,or work up to that protocol. you can use glycerin suppositories daily ,it will evacuate the rectum and is not habit forming.

Re: Mild Colitis & Fleet Enemas

Hi...do you have ulcerative colitis?

If yes..are you on any medications?

I would not recommend fleet enemas to deal with any bowel movements..firstly . Are you constipated?
If so, that could be a sign of a UC flare.

Fleet enemas would cause you to have more inflammation than you already have.

They are ONLY for occasional use and for clean-out before an examination.
