Lactose Intolerant?

When you have this, can a symptom be constipation rather than diarrhea? Also is the abdominal pain higher up or is it low between your hip bones? I have had what Ithought were mensrual cramps, but am wondering if this may be what it is instead?

Re: Lactose Intolerant?

Constipation in itself could cause your symptoms as well as if you're ovulating? Is this a recent occurrence or continuing?

Have you tried cutting out milk products to see if you improve?

Re: Lactose Intolerant?

Both my mother and my son are lactose intolerant. My mother also has IBS, which seems to accompany lactose intolerance. My mother complains of cramping diarrhea after consuming milk products, whereas my son often experiences constipation. My son has had a good deal of success with Lactaid. Good luck.
