| Non-surgical options for anal stenosis?
I was at my GI's office last week and we were discussing my colonoscopy from June. He mentioned that it was difficult to get inside at first, and that I have some anal stenosis. This is probably from some problems with fissures and irritation, as well as proctitis.
I've been looking for info on stenosis (because I think it may be causing a lot of the perianal discomfort I have when going). I was wondering if you guys could tell me what types of things they can do to break up the scar tissue that causes the stenosis. I'd prefer it be some info on non-surgical procedures. I have heard about dilation, but can't seem to get much info on it.
I understand stenosis can be a mild problem, but that it can become a big problem for some. I'd like to see what I can do now to keep it from becoming a big problem.
