| Re: Partial Bowel Obstruction without Pain?
Hi
I have bowel issues and crohn's disease, I have experienced long lengthy tests of different kinds.
To me it sounds like you are impacted and not just constipated. When a person is impacted it usually means there is a very hard part of faeces stuck in your bowel which cannot pass on it's own, which is usually caused by previous constipation issues.
I wouldnt try anymore laxatives if i was you. All laxatives do is irratate the bowel to encourage movement, they do not replace the water which is needed to help regain normal function.
Enemas........these can work but most enemas only work on the lower part of the bowel and if you are impacted higher up then they wont work. They are meant to release water into the bowel so it can be absorbed to help movement.
Have you tried prune juice???
I would go and seek and medical advice before you try anymore otc relief.
If you had an obstruction as such it would show on the x ray.
Hope this helps
