intestinal gas

I had Gastric Bypass in 2001, I have been great since and met my goal in 17 months. At the time of my surgery I do know that I had major adhesions removed. My concern is that in the last 4 months I have been having bouts of nausea (no vomiting) and severe gas cramping and passing of gas. I really cannot pin point what I could be eating that is causing this. I stay away from sugar, I rarely eat suger free because of the sugar alcohols. Just wondering is there some testing that can be done to monitor the possibility of adhesions growing and contricting the bowel.. I thank you for any info.
