yesterday i had an endoscopy and a colonoscopy done. don't see the doc again til 10/31, was given copies of the test results though.
had 3 polyps removed(which i also had done last one). my questions are the different results i never had before.
stomach polyp, hemorrhoids colon(i never was aware of any, must be internal?) gastritis (even though i had hiatal hernia surgery last jan.?) mild diverticulosis in the sigmoid and descending colon...on the gastritis it siad non-erosive. also did biopsy of stomach polyp but did not remove it.
i'm sure many of you were diagnosed with the same. the diverticulosis is my main concern right now. is there any way i can keep it from getting worse, diet etc.?
I was just dx'd with diverticulosis as well after going through the same procedures a couple of weeks ago. My dr recommended eating lots of fiber and drinking more water in order to keep things moving through. I've added Fiber-sure to my diet now, in addition to already eating lotsa veggies and brown rice. Apparently diverticulosis is caused by constipation (at least according to him), and goodness knows we don't want/need more of that.
Btw, wishing you negative results on the biopsies.
thankyou for your reply. i have'nt heard anything negative on biopsy's, or positive, which is a good thing. i have appt. with him again on 10/31.
would'nt think if anything was positive he'd wait til then. so, i figure no news is good news! i definitely need more fiber and am adding it, but he wants me to have at least 25gms a day. i really don't know the highest fiber foods i can eat, to come up with that amount!?
good luck to you, and i'm still trying.......bevann
