 Prolapse of the bowel update
Went to the hospital doctor 4 days ago with bad pain in my bottom.I had took some photoes of this prolapse coming out my bottom,which i developed my self by the way.and after i showed the doctor these pictures, he examined me,with a female nurse in attendance, which was comforting,and then he rang someone,and asked if i could attend the surgical clinic in 3 days time,which was approved.When i saw the specialist at the clinic he said i will need to have a colonostopy to see what was going on,and some times they can fix up these prolapses while doing the colonostopy.He said they pull out the rectum and cut away loose tissue and stitch the rectum back in place.I said i would prefer to have surgery through the tummy to fix it up,he asked why ?,and i said how i had read, where that way, was considered to be more permanent.The specialist said that all prolapses are different, and they require different operations.Any way i have been placed on the waiting list,for elective surgery.I dont have private health insurance.The waiting list is long where i live in Australia in QLD.From bess01.
