I had went to the doctor with abnormal bowel movements a little over 3 weeks ago (was constipated then had diareah, etc) she told me to go on metamucil for a month 3 times a day to see if that helped then to come back if my problems persisted.
For the first week, I was having BMs maybe 5 times a day, they weren't diareah but they weren't NORMAL. They were loose and very dark in color. I was getting worried.
Into the second week, I started to get constipated again. I was ready to see a GI doctor, but then I read somewhere that taking vitamin C and Pro-biotics would regulate me out.
So I started taking 2 acidophilous (pro-biotics) and 2 vitamin C's (1000mgs) 3 times a day. Yeah, that's a lot of vitamin C! As well as drinking metamucil 3 times a day at the same time. Within a week, I was regular again! I have never been so happy to poop in my life. I'm going to continue on this regime for the next couple of weeks and see what happens.
