Sudden change in BM's

Not really sure what to think, but over the last 2 weeks I've gone from 2x a day to 1x every 2 or 3 days. Went to the dr, they did a abdominal xray, told me it was constipation. Had me take mag citrate, sort of worked. I am wondering if maybe I needed more than one dose. I've never really had this problem before, so I'm just wondering what could possibly spawn this sort of thing. Change in the diet, eventhough it went from good to bad?

I'm just a little nervous, since I already have massive anxiety that I am working through. How long is it normal to wait before seeing a specialist? It's just weird, I don't really have an urge to go, but major gas! Help if you have any answers!
