External hemorrhoid treatments besides surgery?
Are there other types of medical treatment for external hemorrhoids other than surgery (or treatment that requires anesthesia/days off from work)? I'm not referring to herbal remedies. I have heard about treatment for internal hemorrhoids that only requires a doctor's visit, but not any for external hemorrhoids. I have an appointment with my doctor next Wednesday. I currently use hydrocortisone suppositories but they are not enough anymore. I have one confirmed internal hemorrhoid and what I believe to also be an external hemorrhoid, so I was wondering what I could expect for the treatment of the external hemorrhoid. Currently the external one (it could possibly be a prolapsed internal one, I really am not sure) looks like a small blue grape - very interesting.
