My mother is 50 and She went for a colon resection 3 months back. She was diagnosed with Colon cancer. She has already taken Chemo treatment after the open surgery. She still feels pain at the right side of the abdomen and feels sometimes something is moving inside her bowel. Due to this moment she feels lot of pain. I understand that due to shorten of the colon, the colon is out of its place so needs some time to stabilized. Is there any method to minimize the movement ?
No, but it gets better after time. I had open surgery and it does feel different and you can feel pain for a long time due to tissue, muscle, and nerve damage during the surgery. I use heating pads like Thermacare after the incision is healed. It helps to relax muscles.
