Re: how long before you catch the stomach flu from someone that is infected
Hi..it's not technically a flu which is respiratory.. but gastrointestinal virus or bacteria that's spread via hand to mouth.
If you're infected, you'll have symptoms within anywhere from 12 hours to 4 days. Sometimes a person who is infected, but symptoms have ceased, will still be somewhat contagious for up to 2 weeks through feces.
Keep the toilet/sink taps/bathroom clean. Change towels often. Don't share towels/utensils/cups..etc.
Don't put your hands in your mouth...it's amazing how many times we can touch our mouths/lick our fingers innocently.
It cah be picked up anywhere via surfaces that have the virus/bacteria on them...
hope you don't get it....I've had it only a few times in my lifetime...horrible.
It's all a matter of perspective!
