I know the feeling you describe. I call it my gut ache....and you described the location perfectly. I also experience mild nausea with it. I've never been scoped, but probably should be.
My suggestion would be to buy some OTC pepcid or prilosec and take them as directed. If it helps, then you'd know it could be gerd-related. Also, try drinking some milk when you experience the feeling.....I know it helps me.
Not sure if this is in any way related to problems in our colon (I, too, had re-section surgery). I think we both need a look at the other end?
