I am starting to regret the removal of three internal hemroids 2-8-08 with ligasure procedure, the 5th day post surgery. I am still in
so much pain, especially bowel movements, several times a day, for hours at a time. Cannot take oxycodone, it makes me sick, so I am taking Advil and Darvocet. Also have lidocaine, doesn't seem to do much. The hot baths help but only last until I get out of the water. Heating pad doesn't seem to help either. I am using medicated wipes. I have been taking stool softners, metamucil, and Miralax, unfortunately my BM seems to be smaller several times a day and I always feel like I have to go. Quite a bit of bleeding.
I also had a colonoscopy the same time. The surgeon didn't warn me of all the pain that would be involved. I feel I was ignorant and am annoyed with myself.
It makes me want to cry. I am sorry I did this without checking further into a surgical treatment. The nurse scheduled me on Friday morning and said most people go back to work on Monday. Is she joking???
This ligasure procedure supposedly to give less pain. That is hard to believe!
I would like to hear from others who have had this recently or any other time.
When will the pain end?
