sharp staple

my son had corrective surgery for hirshsprungs desease and after his final operation for his stoma closure he begun to bleed from the rectum, he had 3 op,s for bleeding and on the final op they noticed what appeared to be a traumatic ulcer, another hospital then done a bowel examination where they found an open sharp staple mm,s away from this ulcer, when the bowel closes the staple is directly on the ulcer, he is awaiting the staple to be removed and is still bleeding, the doc said this couldnt cause the ulcer but various other professionals are saying it can, any answers would be greatly appreciated
