| diarrhea for 7 days now
I have had constant diarrhea over a period of 7 days now with the exception of two straight days that I did not go at all.
Some background:
I had a sinus infection back in January and was on Augmentin for 14 days. In early February I got bronchitis and again went on Augmentin. While still on the Augmentin a week ago, I suddenly developed diarrhea. When the urge hits I have about 15 seconds to find a restroom. I have been up since 6am today and it is almost 1pm and I have gone at least 8 times already.
I went to the doctor last Thursday and gave a stool sample but do not yet know the results.
Not trying to be gross here but the stool was like the consistence of wet sand, blackish gray in color. It now has some substance but is still very loose and looks somewhat like flakes with mucous.
If anyone can shed some light I would really appreciate it.
I have been drinking lots of Gatorade and also drinking the small Dannon yogurt drinks that are loaded with the good flora to try and get something good into my intestinal tact and bowels.
