Perforated bowel?

I have advanced rheumatoid arthritis and have been having alot of pain in my bowels. The anti-inflammatory drugs caused alot of pain and I am off them but I am still in horrible pain. When I passed the last stool, even though it was soft I it still felt like I had knives in my lower bowel. I at times been bleeding when I pass stool lately. I've had fevers and nausea, but I thought that was from the arthritis and the medication I am on. Help!

Re: Perforated bowel?

Any time you have rectal bleeding --- you should have it checked out. It could be serious and it is always better to be safe!!

Re: Perforated bowel?

A perforation of the bowel is a medical emergency. Please call your doctor today and tell him/her your concerns.

Good luck.

Maggie
