discomfort in lower abdominal region

I recently went to the doctor and complained of him of a bit of a bulge that had developed in my lower abdominal region, where I suspect my intenstives are. The bulge is located just above and to the left of my male parts, in the area where pubic hair can grow. The bulge is accompanied by a discomfort that occurs quite frequently, especially after I eat. There is a lot of gurgling that goes on in this area, especially if I push on it. The gurgling is limited to that specific area only. The doctor wasn't worried about it. He thought that perhaps there was a little tear in the abdominal wall. It's irritating me, though. The pain is not serious, but annoying. I thought maybe it was a hernia. The doc indicated that if it were a hernia it would be located lower. Any thoughts? It's bugging me enough that I think I need to pursue additional tests.

Re: discomfort in lower abdominal region

It would NOT have to be lower,to make it a hernia. Get a second opinion. You owe it to yourself.

Re: discomfort in lower abdominal region

I called the Doc and said that I definitely thought that something wa wrong. He referred to me a surgeon, and sure enough, I had a hernia. It's been operated on already. Doing well, although after dancing last night the site of the scar is hurting a bit. Thanks for your words.
