| Intusseseption with tumor cause low wbc's?
I have just been diagnosed with a small bowel intusseseption. The surgeon says that the condition is most often associated with a tumor. Surgery will hopefully be forthcoming after a few more tests but my white blood count has been low, 3500 when last checked. I'm less worried about the tumor as I am about the low wbc. Would the presence of a tumor account for a low wbc? My 2nd hematologist appt is on wed. but I can't seem to find any info on the web for wbc behavior with tumors. Anyone have any knowledge about that?
