threadworms - Bowel Disorders Message Board

I have been diagnosed with threadworms, and follow all instructions from my doctor religously, to help keep them from recurring, however its been two months and I still get them!I take the medication every two weeks to kill worms, I wash bedsheets, towels and clothes every day, I hoover the bedroom every day!I keep my nails short and scrub them and bathe daily...Does anybody have any further advice?And how long will this last for, as its irriating!Thanks

your post took me back to yesteryear . My son had those little critters, he would cry and grasp his stomach in agony. His doc told me to make sure that I wash his hands because if I didn't, I could get them myself. He gave him one pill but the pinworms were still bothering him. However; after the second pill prescribed, he was completely healed. Hang in there!

Have your other family members been dewormed? Do you have young children?

How do you know you're getting them?

yes the family has the same treatment!And my doctor diagnosed me.
