Is it ok to take Florastor with other probotics? - Bowel Disorders Message Board

I have C-Diff and am of my 3rd round of Flagyl. I have had two relapses and now would like to take Florastor along with Culturelle and Pearls but is this safe since I am still on Flagyl and will be for another two weeks? My thought is that taking several probotics is better that just one to quickly populate the gut with good stuff but is this a good plan?

I don't think there would be a problem in taking another probiotic with Florastor. I take Florastor myself after having Clostridium dificile in 2005. I don't know how bad the problem is for you to get over the C-diff, but the next step after trying Flagyl is Vancomycin. You might talk to your doctor about this drug. Beware though, it is very expensive, so hopefully you have good insurance.
