| Hemorroid surgery--am I healing OK?
So, nearly 3 weeks ago I had two thrombosed hemorrhoids removed. One SEEMED to be healing but now whenever I have a BM the area swells up. The other lost it's suture, split into two tags and is now healing by "secondary intention" in two pieces (so there's still exposed tissue). Fantastic right?
I'm not in the pain I was the first week--but I am itchy a lot and find keeping the area clean to be really hard even though I used plently of wet wipes, baby wipes and I wash the area a lot.
Anyway, I've been to the doctor several times to check it out and basically each time she's been ok with it. Despite obvious problems. I'm pregnant and having a C-section in five days, and she told me to come back in a month to follow up and possibly do cosmetic work.
Does this sound normal? Is the healing process really this slow?
