| colitis and reflux symptoms together?
Hi all, I've been diagnosed with (probably ulcerative) colitis more recently on top of reflux problems for a few years.
Since the colitis diagnosis (which basically was post-partum within 6 months), I've noticed more and more that the burning in the gut (prime constant "colitis" symptom) seems to trigger major refluxing problems - lots of the "burping" with stomach irritation and throat effects such as the feeling of lots of mucous there.
This really makes me wonder if all this stuff is directly related. As in, are there factors that start up both these issues together, rather than them being "unknown"?
Anyone ever get several digestive problems that seem to go together like a domino effect even though they're supposed to be separate?
