Mild Colitis?and ibs? - Bowel Disorders Message Board

My gastro told me after all the tests i had done that I have mild Mild Colitis and ibs.can anyone tell me what he means by mild colitis?I dont get any bleeding may thats why its mild?and i dont understand how i can have ibs and mild colitis is it possible to have both?im having a really hard time working with these problems I have to make many trips to the rest rooms at work and there starting to get mad at me.

Hi ctbo,
I have IBS and I'm Lactose Intolerant--alot of people are allergic to milk products but don't even realize it because it causes alot of the same symptoms as IBS and other colon diseases. You might check to see if that could be part of your problem. I also had a hard time when I was working dealing with having to rush to the bathroom. Hope this helps. thanks but they tested me for lacotse and I dont have it.
