| Colonoscopy Prep Advice Needed
I'm due to have a colonoscopy (and possible endoscopy) on Friday morning. It's a rush appointment that was scheduled by the ER so I haven't had a chance to meet the doctor ... all I have is a form telling me what prep to use and what to eat the day before.
The thing is, I've had one once before and I recall thinking that it might have been a lot easier if I had further restricted my diet the few days leading up to it.
My procedure is at 8:30AM, and according to my instructions, I can have whatever I want until 6:00PM the day before and then I have to go to clear fluids. I just want to make it a bit easier on myself...so I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck with other options, For example, starting clear fluids sooner, avoiding certain foods, sticking to all liquids for a few days?
I was thinking that might be good, stick to all liquids (but include things like milkshakes or heavier soups to try and get calories) and then go to clear a day before...but I thought people on here might have better suggestions.
I'm doing the Phosphosoda prep is that matters at all.
Thanks!
