hemorrhoids?

Hi do hemiroids {sorry about the spelling} cause bloody mucous i n your stool and pain in your "stomach". Plus a sensation of needing to "go" but not being able to. I still have a normal BM but lately , the past few weeks I have noticed this. I do have dxed IBS but have never seen this before. I have had 3 colonoscopies in 8 yrs, the dr found precancerous polyps the 1st time and this last time he found a hemiroid. I feel no pain from the H , apparently it is internal. I put in a call to my GI dr , he is away on business so I will wait till he comes back next week.
Thanks,
Bonnie

Re: hemorrhoids?

Internal hemorroids can bleed if they are irritated.
Bad bleeding can look like a bright red jello looking clot attached to your stool also making the water red. (sorry about the gross description )
While a small bleed can be a bright red smear on the toilet paper.
They should not give you any pain in your stomach though.
I had 3 big internal ones and I had no pain in my stomach or anywhere around where they were and I did not feel the urge to go the toilet with them.
My hems just bled badly
But they are fixed now
I went to a colon/rectal doctor and he was very good.
Hope my info. helps a bit. take care

Re: hemorrhoids?

Thanks, I meant to say that I feel no pain that I imagine most feel around the rectum from Hemiroids that I hear is common if you have one. It is kind of ironic that I am having these symptoms right now because my husband is getting ready to have his 1st colonosy and he has lost 15 lbs for no reason and I am really worried about him. He says he has no other symptoms of anything, the dr gave him a 2 and 1/2 hour physical which comprised of xrays , lab tests etc. We don't have all the results back yet and he hasn't even seen the GI dr yet. He keeps putting it off.
Good luck to you
