Iam having a colonoscopy and a endoscopy done on Monday morning and i take tramdol forgot to ask dr. if i can take tramdol the morning before the procedure. They said heart and blood pressure meds but didn't know if tramdol would interfere with the meds they use to sedate during the col onoscopy? Also i figured the tramdol would help me relax Monday morning as i will be a nervous wreck. Thanks for any help.

Try calling a pharmacist and see if he or she knows the answer. Usually they can tell you all about interactions between medicines.

Good luck! DH had both done in January and he said other than the prep and being so hungry the morning of the procedure, its one of the easiest things he has ever done. He said he was out like a light and when they woke him he felt fine. I can attest to that. We went out to breakfast and he wasn't even groggy. A few hours later we were both working out at the gym. I just thought that would give you some encouragement.

Hi fibro-worn,

How did you make out with your testing. Could you tell me how the prep was and the actual test. What did you take and have to do? I hope everything went well for you. It is a pain having to do these tests but they are necessary. I'm going the middle of April for the consultation. Not looking forward to the prep but the idea of the test doesn't bother me. I'll just relax and hope the results are good. Please get back to me!!

bearcubs The actual test was no problem was given iv with something to put you in la la land. And don't remember a thing. The prep was miralex mixed with 64 oz. of gatorade. Alot better then drinking the other stuff they can give you. Ask for the gatorade. alot of liguid but no cramping, pills always cause cramps. Had polps removed with no problems just can't take anything with aspirin for 2 weeks. Good luck with your test. Not that bad. Throat was little sore afterward if you are having the endoscopy too.
