This is difficult for me to talk about, because I'm very self-conscious. I'm not concerned for my health, but rather the appearance of it. What I have is a flesh colored mass (kind of pinky purply colored) of tissue that's soft, not hard. It doesn't look like a bubble, but looks like a little squishy wad of skin with a couple wrinkles. I guess I could say it looks like what would happen if there was a little balloon in my anal sphincter but the air got let out. It's about the size of my pinkie fingernail. It's been there for about as long as I can remember. I can push it in for .2 seconds but it comes right back out and it's bigger when I'm completely relaxed. 98% of it is on the external sphincter. It doesn't hurt, it's just ugly. I've been trying to find out what it is for a while now, without results. I've had gyno exams and they never mentioned anything...Could it be related to straining during BMs? I'm just wondering if I look like a freak. Like I said, I'm very self-conscious. I'm 22 and have never been sexually active; issues like these are part of the reason for that.
