thrombosed external hemorrhoid... Should I see doctor?

This is the first time I've ever had this condition: thrombosed external hemorrhoids.

It's itchy for the most part, tolerable though. I've had it for the past two weeks. And it looks like it's not getting any smaller. It's the same size. Just curious how other people handled this condition. I'm scheduled to see a doctor next week...hoping that perhaps condition gets better. I'd appreciate any feedback thanks!
