| Sigmoid resection vs. Suture rectopexy
Colorectal surgeon told me I need either a Sigmoid Resection or aSuture Rectopexy. He leaned toward the resection but told me ultimately the choice was mine. I have a severe rectal, bladder and uterine prolapse. A rectocele. And bladder and vaginal cystoceles. I am having a hysterectomy at the same time as the rectal prolapse surgery. The rectocele will be fixed later. The Colorectal surgeon does not want to do the two colon surgeries at once due to risk of infection. I am a 36yo female.
Have any of you had a Sigmoid Resection or Suture Rectopexy? If so, what were the results? Do you have any regrets? Anything you would do differently? Anything I should know? I am afraid and in the dark.
