| Mucus coming from anus?
I have had hemorrhoid problems occasionally over the last 5 years or so, but they were usually never serious and they had been gone for over a year. About a week ago I noticed that when I would wipe after going to the bathroom I would see a sort of mucus on the toilet paper - clear, almost the same as the vaginal secretion fluid... at first that's what I thought it was, but I am 100% sure now that it is NOT from my vagina. It hasn't been leaking out or anything (that I've noticed); I seem to only see it when I have a bowel movement and I wipe.
Out of nowhere (aka tonight) my hemorrhoid came back; it might be because I decided to start a lower-carb diet (about 100-125 a day) so I cut back my usual fiber one bar in the morning. Maybe 2 years or so ago I developed a little skin pouch right outside my anus; it still feels normal to me but I can't tell, and now I am paranoid. I am very worried about the mucus/discharge because I don't have insurance and I can't afford to see a doctor right now... I was looking it up but I have no idea what this could be.. it is definitely NOT an STD... any clue?
And if I really should see my dr, can my primary physician do an exam or do I have to go to a specialist? My family dr usually cuts me a break so I could maybe finagle seeing her, but idk about any other doctor...
