Arrow Lower abdomen-maybe penacitis

Since I have looked in my medical dictionary and online in a medical dictionary and I cannot find the spelling of a penacitis I will do the best I can.
Today I came home from picking up my grand children and my stomach had been griping me while I was driving. By the time I got home the griping became severe and I kept trying to throw up but did not.
At first I thought something we ate was tainted but I had a fever. A neighbor said she heard some stomach flu was going around. I took 5 Pepto Bismal pills and after a long nap I was feeling better except that the fever is persistent and the headache and my neck hurts. Plus down on my right side low I have a persistent pain when I move especially.
I wondered if someone with experience could tell me if a penicitis can come and go before it really erupts?

Re: Lower abdomen-maybe penacitis

Yes, it can come and go. And it's spelled appendicitis...that's why you couldn't find it...starts with an A.

Don't take anymore Pepto...it can make it worse. If it keeps up.....go to an Emergency Room....they can test you pretty easily to see if it's that or just a bug of some kind. Not something to mess around with. Once it blows up, you can get very, very sick.

Re: Lower abdomen-maybe penacitis

Jenny,
Thank you so much for your replay. I am going to wait until tomorrow and just give it some time. It is just weird the headache and neck ache and fever. Still could just be the flu.
Thanks so much
