Chronic constipation

I have chronic constipation. I've been to doctors but I have no solution. My doctor prescribed Citrucel and Mirilax both have not worked. Now I'm taking Probiotics and Enzymes. I still don't have any urge to use the bathroom. Please help me.

Hi,

Have u considered seeing a colon hydrotherapist? Just do a search for one in your area. Another thing that i have read about is using 200 billion strain probiotics (like primadopholus...sold at wal greens) with 3 tablespoons of lactose (found it at a vitamin cottage natural grocer). One other thing that works for me is get regular tea (Yogi brand). Hope this is helpful

Have you examined your diet? I know that sounds easy, but I have found that I cannot tolerate certain foods. It sounds crazy, but I cannot eat spinach or oats without becoming very constipated. It took me quite awhile to figure out that they were causing me problems. For most people, these foods have the opposite effect. I like both of them and wish I could eat them, but even if I drink lots of water, they clog me up. I've tried it on numerous occassions and it always happens.

I recently accidently ate cereal that contained oats. I got constipated and when I read the box, I realize why. It might help to narrow down everything you eat to see if some food it causing you a problem.
