Re: diverticulitis

Many times, diverticulitis occurs in the sigmoid colon which is right behind your bladder. If you are swollen and distended, this can make you feel like you have to urinate.

If you have not already, I strongly recommend seeing a doctor immediately as diverticulitis can lead to some very dangerous complications such as peritonitis. I waited too long when I had a bad bout because I am a guy and I live on the "I only go to doctor if I feel like I am dying" motto.

Waiting nearly killed me, it led to a perforated colon.

Re: diverticulitis

Yes I have experienced wanting to pee more when I am having an attack. See a doc, but in the meantime, go on a liquid diet, lots of water, maybe probiotic yoghurt. Your colon is inflamed and does not need loads of food. No meat, just bland soft food.
