| weird painless pressure and spasms....
Happy Halloween all. I was the recipient of an experimental (in 1994) emergent surgery to repair my severed small bowel and common bile duct. It was a very touchy recovery and I call myself the "crash test dummy" for gastric bypass - (and I really believe that!) Anyway, it's been 12 years since my last adhesion related bowel strangulation surgery and I've had minimal problems since then....til now. Over the past 3 wks I've noticed this weird "pushing and pulling" in my left upper abdomen (near the solar plexus). Feels like painless muscle spasms that last a few seconds then disappear. Lots of gas gurgling in there too. I do suffer from IBS (since my accident) and don't recall experiencing anything like this before. It's mostly near the bottom of my left ribcage and happens more often an hour after eating, but sometimes with no prompting at all. I'm very nervous about it and had an ultrasound on Thursday morning. May hear something tomorrow. Anyone ever had anything like this?
