Or would there be something else to tell the doctor something may be wrong?
I do not have abdominal pain or anything else, except for what feels like a burning sensation at time. I am 32 with no fmaily hostory of colon or bowel cancer.
Any help is appreciated.. thank you
If you were losing blood internally you most likely be in lot of pain, but a slow loss of blood over time can make you anemic and it would show in your blood tests. Most doctors order a complete blood count (aka CBC) and hemocrit (hemoglobin) and this would let the doctor something is going on. If you're very tired all the time it can be caused by anemia. The doctor should order a fecal (your bm) occult blood test to be done and possibly colonoscopy. The fecal occult blood test is where you have to take samples of your bowel movement over several days and put smear of your bowel movement on a card and then send it off to a lab or take it into a lab yourself. You can't eat red meat for certain amount of time before the test is done and nothing red that could like blood. Personally, this test to me is the one I would have a harder time doing than the colonoscopy.
