I am a little embarassed complaining about my condition since it seems less serious than many of the posts with similar complaints. I guess what I am looking for is some reassurance that the frequent bouts of diarrhea will disappear before long. I had Stapled Hemorroidectomy on Dec 27, 2011 so I am only in my second week of recovery, although the Doctor told me I would be able to do anything I wanted two days after the surgery, the pain, variable bowel movements, pressure in my anal canal and general malaise precluded me from doing anything for ten days. I am now off my meds, hydrocodone for pain and 800mg ibuprofen for swelling, docusate stool softener, and antibiotic cipro.
Am having almost no pain, very little discomfort from swelling (still pressure in the anal canal but diminishing), but the last two days I have started the day with what could be described as somewhat normal bowel movement followed by frequent urges 30-40 minutes bouts with diarrhea. Will see Doctor next Wednesday for follow-up and am hopeful the diarrhea will be gone by then. Anyone out there with similar experience?
