What do you do about "no urge" constipation?

I have been irregular for a month and now I haven't gone for a week. I haven't ever had the urge to go or felt any movement within. When I try and force it, it results in insignificant small pieces, and are slightly yellowed in color.

I've never felt constipated like this before and I don't know how to resolve it. I'm feeling cramped and bloated now, and I need relief soon.

Any advice, has anyone experienced this??

Try using a glycerin suppository to try to soften the stool that is stuck in your rectum. It can take as little as 20 minutes to work or long as an hour. You may need to use a fleet's enema if the suppository doesn't work after an hour. Try not to strain and force your bm out but use slow deep breathing exercises to relax the anal and rectal muscles. It could take up to 30 minutes to have a bowel movement this way but it's so much easier and a lot less painful ! Don't go more than 3 days in a row without having a bowel movement because you're setting yourself up for a bowel impaction or worse yet a bowel obstruction which can be life threatening. I have had lifelong problems with chronic constipation and know the pain that comes with being that constipated for that long. I now have make sure I move my bowels every day or I have problems the next time I need to go. I use the slow deep breathing exercises and it does work along with drinking lots of water and getting enough fiber in my diet.

I've had the same issue before I fixed it by drinking more water and taking fiber supplements, also less meat. Another thing if you have a partner is an enema, if no help it might sound nasty but it worked once for a bad case is to take a warm bath and try to go in the water then use a finger (cut your nails) and try to loosen it with the finger, it cleared with a really packed bowel of hard feces.
