Started a high-vitamin "cleanse"; had a couple bouts of diarrhea; first green, then..
As stated in the title; I literally just started today a high vitamin "cleanse" of sorts, where I plan on taking high doses of vitamins. I took a multivitamin and separate dose of vitamin-C and Niacin. I also drank a 4-serving bottle of mixed "super" fruit berries (Acai, Goji, and 8 others) and ate some fresh berries (blackberries, blueberries, raspberries) and approximately 3 hours later, I had my first bout of diarrhea, which was very very green. I understand it could just be bile, as the vitamins and fruit juices and juice could make my system run faster. Within an hour I had to go again, and this time it wasn't green at all, but dark dark brown, almost black, looked like dark dark brown dirt water. I couldn't really tell if there was any coffee ground-like matter in it, as it was mostly water. The first time really didn't freak me out, I'm familiar with too much bile in the stool, but the second time has me a little worried. I also have very bubbly activity going on in my abdomen, which I rarely if ever have. Again, not panicking over that, just a difference that is to be noted, but the second bout of diarrhea did put me on edge.
Can a high dose of vitamins cause that color? Or is it just my body flushing out my bowels faster? Thanks for any help or insight; just a little on edge.
